The aim of Negotiating is that both parties win.  Too often though negotiations can turn out to be nothing than a battle ground with each person attempting to win the negotiation.


If a negotiation is to be successful it is highly unlikely that it will happen just by chance; it will take a lot of work and effort.


Sometimes people say, “well I wanted to negotiate, but the other party weren’t interested”, but this can be overcome with insight, understanding of how negotiations work and careful planning.
